Recently, my go-to gift wrapping technique is putting a yarn pom pom around a crisp, white box. It works for ANY occasion and it has a wow factor that kinda screams Anthro. (Sorry for the self horn-tooting. Promise I won't do it again.)
I've put together a little tutorial that will show you how to make these pompoms in five minutes or less.
It's SO easy people. Trust.
Gather your supplies. You'll need yarn, your gift box, a pair of sharp scissors, and your hand.
Start wrapping the end of the yarn around your hand. Make sure you keep a long tail of yarn out at the beginning. You'll need that end later. (Leave the other end attached to the rest of the yarn.)
Keep wrapping the yarn around your hand until it looks like the above picture. Cut the other end off from the yarn. Make sure this end is left long too.
Take the long end that you kept out in the beginning and bring it across the width of the yarn.
Tuck the long tail around the yarn and push it through between your middle and fourth fingers.
Wrap this end around the middle three times.
Grab both ends of the yarn and tie a knot. Make sure to tie this as tightly as possible. This is very important or everything will fall apart.

We're almost done!!! (Super easy so far right?)
Now just trim the sides so that they're even!
*Tip: The shorter you trim the sides, the fluffier the pom pom will be. I like mine shaggier so I leave mine longer.
Ta-da!
You are now prepped to woo all your friends.
If you have any questions, feel free to ask!
